Production Update

Hey Kosmonauts,
We would like to thank everyone again for your continuous patience. It was a hard time to develop all new products on time.
Here is the Status Quo:
All KOSMOS Pens are either in the last stage of production or already finished by our manufacturer. We were not 100% happy with the surface of the polished titanium pens due to visible micro-scratches. So we have sent all polished Titans back to our polishing specialist for rework. This causes a small delay of overall shipping.
Canceled Clip Orders As already announced in our last update, there will be no new clip for the Kosmos Titan for now. We canceled all clip orders and will try to compensate you for the inconvenience. We can totally understand that some of you are really disappointed having no matching clip for your Titan. We are really sorry for this!
People who have paid on Backerkit with Credit Card: We removed the clip out of your order. Your credit card will not be charged for the clip.
People who have paid for the clip through their Kickstarter pledge OR on Backerkit with PayPal: You will receive a 2-pack of refills in black for each clip you have ordered. It is really hard for us to refund every single clip order and the involved Paypal fees would make the whole process a bit pointless.
If you would like to receive blue refills instead of black, please send us an email at [email protected] until January 31st.
We have a small amount of our classic Aluminium Clips in stock. If you are still very eager to receive the clip along your order, you can send us an email at[email protected]until January 31st. Please keep in mind that these clips may scratch your precious Kosmos pen during assembly and need to be attached with great care.
Everyone will receive a coupon code once we have implemented the clip into our webshop. But we are not sure if or when this will happen. We are still trying to find the best solution for it.

Production Update + Clip

Dear Backers,
It's been an incredible year for us at stilform. We got overwhelmed by our Titanium KOSMOS campaign. We are very grateful, that you helped us to realize this even bigger production run. The production of the KOSMOS Pens is running smoothly and is currently at its last stage. All pens are getting assembled and tested right now. We are still on track to deliver all rewards on time.
We will finalize your shipping information in Backerkit in the first week of January. So if you want make changes on your address, you are still able to do so until then.
The development of the attachable clip for the KOSMOS Pen is causing us continuous concern. We got several messages from backers who are worried to apply the clip on the pen, because of scratches. We did a lot of testing and must conclude that we can not guarantee 100% that the barrel will not get scratched when shifting the clip on, because it's made of metal. We already experienced this issue with the aluminium clip. Many customers were happy with the clip, but there were also reports from customers who scratched their pens. We thought we could resolve this issue with a new clip manufacturer and some design changes. But the only way to make it work is to change its material. We do not want to ship out a faulty product that may damage your Kosmos Pen. Postponing the shipping date was also no option for us. So we decided to remove the clip as a product from our shop for now. This decision was really difficult for us and we are very sorry that we can not provide this add-on to you along with your Kosmos pen in January. We will now develop a clip made of plastic based on our new design with a chrome coating in black and silver. This new clip will be available on our website with a special discount for all our Kickstarter backers. We will post an update and notify you via email once the new clip is ready. We are currently looking into to it how we are going to compensate the backers who got already charged for the clip through Paypal on Backerkit. Again, sorry for the inconvenience caused!

Backerkit Surveys

Hi Backers,
most of you have already answered their Backerkit survey. Thanks for that! But there are still around 10% of the surveys which have not been answered yet. If you cannot find your invitation email or believe you did not receive any invitation, please send us a message at [email protected]. We will re-send the email to you and/or send you a direct link to the survey.
We have also been busy this week and shipped out the first batch of Kosmos Aluminium pens to those lucky 82 backers, who pledged for the Kosmos reward with shipping in November. We will send out an email with the tracking information tomorrow. There are also around 9 people in this pledge level who still need to answer their survey. Please do so, otherwise we will not be able to pack and ship out your order in November.

Hey Kosmonauts,
thank you all for the amazing support! We achieved far more than we expected at the beginning of the campaign thanks to you. We can't wait to ship all KOSMOS Titans around the world to your home :)
We initiated all necessary steps last week to start the production as smoothly as possible. The raw materials already arrived in the factory and first tests were undertaken to prepare the manufacturing processes. The first batch of KOSMOS Aluminium pens will be sent out on time in November.
We are currently preparing the Backerkit survey and plan to send it out next week. Once we have done that, there will be another update with more detailed information. Please answer the survey as soon as possible, especially if you have pledged for the Kosmos Aluminium reward with the delivery date in November (limited to 82 backers).
The development of the Titanium Clip is still in the process, so you may not be able to choose it within the survey yet. We will include it later once it is ready and let you know about it, you can add it to your order then.
